Parasite Prevention

We are all excited about the arrival of spring; better temperatures and more time in the great outdoors! As spring arrives so will the re-emergence of seasonal parasites like ticks, heartworm, intestinal worms, mosquitoes and fleas.  These parasites pose a threat to your pet’s health and in some cases (like ticks) to your family’s health.

Prevention is key and its never been easier!

Prior to starting prevention, a simple blood test is required. Please call us to schedule your dog for their annual 4Dx Blood Parasite Screen (this test checks for Heartworm as well as 3 Tick-transmitted diseases including Lyme disease.)

Additionally, this is an excellent time to further investigate your dog’s internal health. By simply taking a few more drops of blood we can screen for conditions such as diabetes, liver, kidney and thyroid disease. Our lab is offering great discounts so that we can learn as much as possible about your pet’s overall health from now until June 30th, 2017. See the Wellness Packages offered below. One of our Veterinarians will be happy to help you select the best option for your pet’s specific life stage.

For pets having Wellness Testing and purchasing prevention for the 2017 parasite season, you will automatically be entered into a contest to win a FREE package of parasite prevention for next year!*Some conditions apply.

Please review the chart below and call us at (905) 853-4706 to book your appointment today.

If your dog has already had its blood parasite screen, please call ahead, and we can have their prevention ready for pick-up when you arrive!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
